Vacation on the sailing boat? We’ll tell you why you should definitely try it.

There are countless ways to travel the world, sailing is just one of them. However, it is a unique opportunity that will expand your horizons and completely calm you down.

Go on a holiday trip that is a little different from what you usually do, do without the plane and switch to the sailing yacht!

  1. SWITCH OFF AND REFUEL
When your sailboat leaves the marina, it’s like diving straight into another sphere. A world full of calm, far from reality. Everything you see is nature. The beautiful blue of the sea, the green of the overgrown shores and the white of the beaches that are getting smaller and smaller in the distance. All you hear is the gentle pounding of the waves against the hull, the call of the seagulls reaching over you and the gentle whistling of the wind that sets your boat in motion. Sailing is the perfect way to leave the stress of everyday life behind, to arrive at the here and now and to recharge the batteries properly.
  2. VARIETY AND ADVENTURE WITHOUT A LOT OF PLANNING
On a sailing trip with Join The Crew, you always have an experienced skipper with you who is well informed and always knows the coolest spots. Your skipper will calmly tell you what options there are for the week or the respective day and you decide spontaneously and freely as a crew what you want most. So you hardly have to plan and still have variety and adventure every day. You can decide freely whether you want to look at the stars or have a party, bay or harbor, cook or eat out. In the end, that means experiencing a lot with little stress.
  3. DISCOVER PLACES THAT CAN ONLY BE REACHED BY BOAT
With the sailboat you can get to places that would never be accessible from land. For example, hidden bays with steep cliffs or small uninhabited islands, far away from the turbulent mass tourism. Depending on the area and the season, it may of course be that you have to share the berths with other boats, but the magic remains. It’s like suddenly being able to see everything from a whole new angle.

  1. “BACK TO THE ROOTS” WITHOUT A LOT OF EVERYDAY ROUTINE
“Back to the Roots” means something like back to the origin. I think that applies to sailing quite well. Living on a boat is simple and original. There is no long bathroom routine in the morning. Brush your teeth, put on your swimming gear and off to the sea. In the evening, with a view of nature, you shower, your skin is cared for with a little after sun, a sweater is thrown on and you’re “ready for dinner”.
  2. ALL-IN-ONE ON YOUR BOAT
What I love about sailing is that you have everything in one. A sailboat offers you a 360-degree sea view, the best dance floor ever, a way home from the party to bed in 10 seconds, with the choice of whether you cuddle up in the bunk or rather under the stars is sleeping. The next morning, as just described, you can jump straight from the bed into the water. This really is a high-end all-in-one package, isn’t it?
  3. ACTIVELY SAIL WITH OR ROCK TO SLEEP
How much action or rest you want on your sailing trip is entirely up to you. You always have the choice between actively sailing, swimming and chatting with the crew or just hanging out, sunbathing, reading a book or letting yourself be rocked to sleep by the gentle waves. You will never be bored on the boat.
  4. MEET NEW PEOPLE
Regardless of whether you are traveling with a partner, a few friends or completely alone, a sailing trip is a great opportunity to meet great people. The crew comes together on the boat for a wonderful vacation. Everyone is euphoric and looking forward to spending time together. Because the characters are often completely different, great and interesting conversations arise. You can learn a lot from each other, inspire each other and get to know new perspectives. In the end, they all have a love for nature and especially for the sea.

You don’t have your own boat, but still want to experience sailing? Have a look on the internet, there are many sailing tours offered where you can register. Or ask around in special sailing or boat forums, someone there will definitely know where you can register!
